Meet Our Staff

The Elkhorn Animal Hospital professional staff consists of four Veterinarians who have combined experience of over 45 years.  Our front office staff which includes two full-time Receptionists ensures that your call is answered in a timely manner and that you are always greeted with a welcoming smile.

Additionally, our staff includes an Office Manager, four Veterinary Technicians, two Veterinary Assistants, two Animal Caretakers and a Groomer.

 

Dr. Danielle Bailey

Dr. Danielle Bailey grew up in Norcatur, a small town in northwest Kansas.  She attended Kansas State University and graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in May, 2007.  Dr. Bailey’s first two years in practice were spent in the St. Louis metro area where she worked at a three-doctor small animal clinic.  Dr. Bailey joined the Elkhorn Animal Hospital staff in January, 2009.  She is a member of the AVMA and her special interests include ophthalmology and endocrinology.

Dr. Bailey also enjoys running, Kansas State sports and spending time with family and friends.  She and her Boston Terrier, Vince, live in Omaha.

 

 

Dr Emily Koppold

An Omaha native, Dr. Emily Koppold graduated from Northwest High School.  She attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha during her undergraduate school career.  Her love of the veterinary profession was solidified while working as a Veterinary Assistant at a local Veterinary clinic. 

Dr. Koppold graduated from Kansas State University in 2008 and began working at the Elkhorn Animal Hospital in May of that same year.  Since graduation, Dr. Koppold has developed a special interest in soft tissue surgery and cardiology.  Dr. Koppold is a member of the AVMA.  She stays busy at home with her son Dominic and enjoys the companionship of her Doberman, Twilight and her two cats Homework and Heman.

 

 

Dr. Michelle Ravnsborg

A native of Grainfield, Kansas, Dr. Michelle Ravnsborg received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 from Kansas State University.  Dr. Ravnsborg practiced in Springfield, Missouri for a year before joining the Elkhorn Animal Hospital in 2000.  She is a member of the AVMA and has served on the Board of the Nebraska Academy of Veterinary Medicine since 2006.  Dr. Ravnsborg has special interests in dentistry, endocrinology and dermatology.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading and going to the gym.  She is a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Elkhorn.  She and her husband, BJ, have 3 children, Ben, Ally and Ty along with their yellow lab, Mabel.

 

 

Dr. Paul Dritley
Dr. Paul Dritley grew up in Fremont, Nebraska.  He attended Kansas State University, earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1981.  Upon graduation, Dr. Dritley worked at the Verner Veterinary Clinic in Fremont for 5 years.  He then worked at the Chance Ridge Veterinary Clinic in Elkhorn for two years.

Dr. Dritley began his career at the Elkhorn Animal Hospital in 1987.  He purchased the practice from Dr. Eich in January, 2003.  Dr. Dritley is a member of the AVMA.

The philosophy at the Elkhorn Animal Hospital has always been to treat each pet (and pet owner) like one of the family.  Dr. Dritley firmly believes in this philosophy and the clinic staff has tried to maintain its “small town atmosphere” even as the clinic has grown and expanded over the years.

Dr. Dritley and his wife have four children and 5 grandchildren.  They reside in Elkhorn and enjoy spending their spare time gardening, watching spectator sports and traveling.

The Elkhorn Animal Hospital is a member of the Western Douglas County Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau.
